Why do you need a 'good deal' if you already have a Nationwide Flexaccount? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Travelex (http://www.travelex.co.uk/) supply commission free currency.
You can order it online and collect it at the port/airport on your way. They have a 'Price Promise' that they're the cheapest.
Beware though - the card you use to purchase currency & cheques may make a charge.0 -
I got $1.8023 traveller's cheques rate at Marks & Spencer yesterday.
Great rate, but why, oh why didn't i think to pay with my M&S card to get points and then go straight to the till and pay the cash into my account???? ???0 -
Because if you're talking about the M&S card they would have charged you a cash advance fee and you would have had no interest free period are two fairly compelling reasons I'd have thought!0

Not worried about the interest-free period but yep, that's right about the charge. Although every purchase gets double points until the end of July.0

On their website they say "No cash advance fee" if you pay for foreign currancy with &more credit card..
I've just had a look around M&S are competitive (but not very convienient for me). I will probably go to the halifax as its handy and a better rate than nationwide. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Why not get a Nationwide Flexaccount for the best deal available? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks, Flo............ I'll probably need more dollars. If so, this time I will use my card! Especially if I get the double points - need to check that though, I bet that's the only area where 'double' doesn't apply. Still, you can't have everything! On their website they say "No cash advance fee" if you pay for foreign currancy with &more credit card..
