How long does it take to get on electoral register

I got rejected for a cc last November so decided to improve my credit rating.
First stop - get on electoral register!
I have been on it at my address for years but didnt fill in the form last year (for 2008). I contacted my local office who sent me forms that I completed and sent back to them in December past.
What I was wondering was when will I appear on the register and when should I re-apply for a new card?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks:rotfl:

The register is updated 4 times a year I believe. Phone your local council and ask them when it is done.0

It's more frequently than that - 9 times a year for most councils (each month from Dec-Aug incl.): http://www.eastleigh.gov.uk/ebc-1815Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
