my mum has polymyalgia rheumatica which can cause blindness if not caught quickly enough. thankfully it was caught quickly. however, although the disease will go away of its own accord at this present time she is in agony and the drugs she is on (steroids) arent really helping. so much so that myself and sister are paying for her to have a cleaning lady.
anyway, aside from that she will be 62 this year and is retired and on a pension. she receives CTB (owns own home bought and paid for) and we have just applied on her behalf for DLA.
is there anything else she may be entitled to at all?

With her being on a pension I am not sure what else she is entitled to. You could try looking on the following website:

Does she claim Pension Credit ?, it pays extra for people with a disability.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Have you asked your local social servces department about direct payments? It might be worth having an asssessment for it

she isnt entitled to PC as she is just over the income threshold as she gets widows pension and a private pension on top of SRP or something.There's someone in my head, but it's not me0
