Serious bank acc arrears/OD taken away?

Dont know if i am teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here but ..

I recently found out that if you are having problems repaying a large amount on your B Account, Over drawn or Ovder draft been taken away and not renewed etc...

If you are on benefits all you have to do is take your letter of confirmation of benefits into your branch and they will stop all charges and interest on the outstanding amount!...

This works with Abbey....not sure on other banks..worth a try though.
