Question in the future when I want to rent a flat will i need a credit card. I only have a debit card and at the moment I am getting ready to start uni in 2019 but when normally happens after. Do university's act as a good reference, how do students get places in their second year and does that help in the future renting a different flat showing your a good tennant

You don't need a credit card to rent a flat.
However it can help to build credit history.
When you get to Uni, they will explain how the second year works.0
