Have a look round your home first, is there anything you don't use. i'm afraid people like to keep quiet about what they sell on here as we have all worked hard to find things, I'm don't mean to imply anything by that so please don't be offended.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

There's one way and one way only to make money honestly on ebay.
Sell things for more money than it costs to buy & market them (including all associated costs).
The good thing about ebay is that you can sell almost anything on there ... well as long as it's legal!
What your task is now is to find stock at a price that's available to you that meet's the golden rule"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I'm a private seller and just sell random things from around the house that I don't use any more - clothes, dvds, cds, ornaments etc. As long as it's in decent condition - if there's dents/chips in something, make sure you mention it in the description. Other have Ebay shops.
Occasionally it can be hit and miss, I sold several items on Sunday that failed to sell previously.
I always start at a minimum of 99p (depending on what you're selling), and this usually covers all the various fees with a bit left over for profit.
Someone once sent me a spreadsheet that can calculate all this, but unfortunately I couldn't open it on any of my computers (work/home), so I had to do my own.0 -
As above, start with selling your unwanted items from around the home. The moment you start buying to resell you are then a business, and a whole new can of worms (and expense) is opened!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

As others have said, it can be hit-and-miss and it's best to start with unwanted items from around your home. If you have any vintage items you want rid of, you'll find these can often sell better than nearly-new - the sort of things some people would throw away, e.g. garish 1970s curtains and scruffy old leather school satchels. You can search for completed listings on eBay to get an idea of what's selling and what's not. Gallery pictures are currently free for a limited time, so don't forget to use them.0

Old well worn shoes, unwashed underwear and if you're a scally your old trackie bottoms would probably do well.0

Gold. Whether it be new or broken chains. The price of Gold is high at the moment.0

There used to be a really good thread on the DFW board with ideas of things you might have around your house that sell well. I think it got lost when the site went down last year though.
Old glasses (as in spectacles) was one thing I remember from it - we sold two pairs for £10 each after that suggestion!:www: :: MFi3 ::

Oh, and now it's gone and been quoted in my post too"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
