Had e-mail from Powergen re: price increases (boo hoo - time to change suppliers?). As a sweetener, they are giving all Powergen customers the opportunity to get 4 free energy saving lightbulbs. Don't know how to link to site through this post but visit them at Powergen.co.uk

Its a bit of a con.

You have to text them your details and they charge you £3 for the text.

If you receive a letter from them, you'll get a leaflet where you can order by post!

This was a form that I've downloaded and you send it off to them(freepost address.) No mention of texting etc!!

I can only find that offer on the Powergen website as well.

Saying it's a con is a bit harsh. Nowhere does it say they're free, and £3 for 2 energy saving bulbs is a bargain. Not as good as free admittedly, but better than in the shops!

Last ones I bought from Morrison's were £2.99 for a twin pack of 11W (60W equivalent). Might be worth a look if there's a Morrison's near you...

Mind you if you are a Powergen customer, silvertoes' 4 freebies are cheaper!
