Windows or linux?

Options
Windows or Linux - which one? Sell it to me. Remember you don't just jump into bed with Terry Tibbs. You take Terry Tibbs out to lunch, you wine and dine him then you give him an oil massage first.

Why not just do a forum search or a google search for reviews????? This topic has been discussed to length on other threads. Search bar is at the top of the page and remember to select Forums for the search.
  • Nobody tells Terry Tibbs to do a forum search. You want to sell something to Terry Tibbs you gotta wine and dine him first.

I agree with sco0ter. A Google search may be better though.

If you're a Windows user, I'd suggest giving Linux a go to experience it firsthand for yourself. For a start try Ubuntu / Freespire / PCLinuxOS - all run off their LiveCDs (without need for installation), but I'd recommend installing one on an old system if possible to really get stuck in.

If you do try Linux, give it your best shot for an extended period before passing judgement. I did, & for me Windows still has a big edge - I currently have PCLinuxOS dual-booting with XP Pro. G

P.S. To me it appears you've joined the forum just to pose this query, & in doing so create more mischief than debate. Come on, be honest now!

Depends if you need Doovd. Doovd is easier to get working on Windows than Linux.

If you want Doovd, go Windows, no Doovd (just MUP3), then you should be OK on Linux.

I'd suggest Mr Tibbs downloads a Linux Live CD and tries that out to see if he likes Linux.

    Windows.

Linux takes a bit of time and dedication, which doesn't come across in the OP.
