I found cheap travel insurance covering Tesco Deals and Airmiles!

Options
Sorry if this is a duplicate, but couldn't find it on a search.

I have just discovered that there is another travel company (a cheap one) that covers the cost of Clubcard Deals. Tesco likes to give us the impression that they can only be covered under their own (expensive) policy....not so!

Travel-Insurance-Web.com http://www.travel-insurance-web.com/

I phoned them to confirm this after reading the following in the policy small-print (cancellation section):

"If travel arrangements were paid for by Air Miles or by any other form of redeemable vouchers, reimbursement will be the reinstatement of the Air Miles or redeemable vouchers to their original account. If reinstatement is not possible, we will reimburse the lowest advertised fare by the airline for the flight in question). Cancellation must be necessary and unavoidable and not as a result of disinclination to undertake your planned trip."

They confirmed on the phone that Tesco Deals are included in the cover and also Deals used to pay for accomodation as well as flights. No maximum limit was mentioned.

In comparison Tesco's own travel insurance will only cover £250 of Deals per person travelling! I was told this over the phone - I didn't see it in the small print.

My family policy -single trip 14 days to Spain - cost £20.
Tesco equivalent was £49.99
Cheapest quote at moneysupermarket £16 (PrimaryInsurance - does not cover airmiles or Deals)

And 15% cashback with Travel-Insurance-Web.com via Quidco!

I hope this helps someone

Thats great, Ive just used my deals vouchers for xl flights and was about to start looking round. Their quote was cheap and the cover is good. Saved me the effort.
