i saw another thread about valentines day a few days ago. they had a hamper that had glasses, wine, chocolates in. or you could do a football sock monkey for your OH. (sorry, sock monkey mad at the moment). home made cards. home made heart biscuits. cant think at the moment but if you do a search i am sure there was even a link to the hamper!

The obvious would be making cards but also perhaps make salt dough heart decorations/fridge magnets? Heart shaped paperchains? Bouquets of roses made from tissue paper & straws?

Make cupcakes or biscuits & add a drop of pink food colouring to the mix, then arrange them in a nice basket to be presented as a gift.

Thats all I can think of for now but Ill come back if I think of anything else.

I will be making wax melts in a valentines-suitable fragrance containing rose petals. I'll also be making soap with suspended red hearts... (I also make both of these to sell so the OH will get some too!)

I made a valentines card this evening!! I found some party confetti (little gold stars) whilst clearing a drawer. I used a pritstick to draw and fill in a heart shape on a plain card and then sprinkled the confetti over it! Simple!
Well, not quite. I spent ages perfecting the edges and shape of the heart and getting the little gits to stick. But it looks ok!!:T

We don't normally buy each other pressies just cook a nice meal.

  • I can`t remember if it was 08/09 but someone made bum biscuits, basically used a heart cutter then cut the point off to make the biscuit look like a bum and iced a thong/ pants on... maybe not one for the children to do but something a bit naughty.
If you google bum biscuits a photo should come up in the search of something similar.
