But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- move money to savings
- Make a loaf in breadmaker
- lunch at work - travelling to new manager's court
- storecupboad tea
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
- do one thing just for fun -
- do something nice for someone else
- no spend day planned
- sparkle
Catch you later - keep up the good work you are all doing amazingly:T :T :T
Hi Marru - nice to see you getting organised;)

Now i have had my lightbulb moment and have set up all my payment plans i would like to join on this thread daily to keep me focused on the 'small things'
So today i will
1. Check my leccy and gas usage and continue to find ways of saving units
2. Use the dishwasher only (have done all my washing and rule is one electrical appliance a day)
3. Spend at least an hr at neighbours house to save on kettle and use her heat lol
4. Plan my day tomorrow as I AM STOPPING SMOKING FRIDAY!!!!!! Just cannot justify spending on tobacco!
5. Keep to my meal plan
6. Trawl freebie sites
7. Review 5-10 songs on slice the pie (still on v points!) to try and get to 2 stars.
THANKSDFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debtsJust to see which month

Have been struggling to find the time to get on here lately. Lifes got a bit busier since the new year and I just don't seem to stop!
Hope everyone is ok and that Littlepip is doing well. Pipsmum hope you aren't too shattered!
Here's my attempts for today:
* Pay Studio...reduced amount as did couple of PAD's this month. Can't do any more as 6 week month is starting to pinch!
* Storecupboard tea - following mealplan (find thats working well for us)
* Heating off as wet and mild here today
* Washing at 30'c and airer drying
* Visit mum this morning so use her heating, biscuits and teabags! :rotfl:
* Work out budget for february (getting in early)
* Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...take bag of stuff to charity shop near mums
* Do one thing nice for someone else....may drop picture little boy did at nursery into his Great Nanny's. It will have pride of place on her fridge I'm sure!
* Research nice present for mums 60th (any ideas guys as I'm stumped!?)
And thats about it for today!
