Complaints/Report Button

It is not often, but every so often i see a post or thread that is either directly in breach of forum rules or is highly offensive. I would complain about these posts but rather than having a simple complaint button this site opens up outlook express to email the complaint in. I don't believe outlook express is that popular, with most people simply using hotmail or yahoo direct (including myself) so my suggestion is that a simpler complaints system is put in place, one where clicking the button brings up a simple form to send a complaint from your username, bypassing the need for outlook express.

I can't answer for the contact form - thats for MSE admins - but I can tell you how to fix your 'mailto' links so that clicking on the report button will open up webmail reather than Outlook Express
Yahoo mail:
Download and Run Yattach
(Alternatively Yahoo messenger has the option in its settings)
Gmail:
Download and Run Gattach
(Alternatively Gmail notifier or Google Talk both have an option in their settings)
Hotmail / Live Mail:
From your control panel in Windows, select Internet Options.
Under the Programs tab, select Hotmail or Live Mail in the Email section

Do you mean Vista's Windows Mail?
Try this:
From your control panel in Windows, select Internet Options.
Under the Programs tab look at the Email section. See if windows mail is in the drop-menu for you to select.
(The above is for XP. Hopefully it will be similar in Vista)
Window's Live Mail client (which succeeds Windows Mail) has a setting in its Options so maybe Window Mail has the setting in the same place:
In Options click the General tab and look for:
Default Messaging Program
This program is NOT the default mail handler - Make Default
