Drain cleaner?

I cant find the post about the stuff you use to clean drains. Mine look a bit disgusting but they are not blocked. They just need a bit of a clean.

I've got a problem with drain smells too...

...dismantled all pipes under my kitchen sink - you can't believe the goo that comes out of there!

    BUT

It still smells bad - any solutions to this?

for the kitchen drains just get a mug of vinegar and pour it down

then put half a box of bicarb down after it

it will fizz up out of the plug hole

leave it for half an hour or longer if poss

    drains sparkling and smelling sweet

    for the outside drains

a bottle of caustic soda mixed and poured down the drain will move a mountain and clean the drain out at the same time

wear a mask and gloves when handling caustic soda

OR a couple of buckets of jeyes fluid solution is great as well

    my mum just told me

PAHH just use a box of cheapo salt to a gallon of water pour it down the kitchen sink slowly and it will clean the sink drain and all drains outside providing you dont flush or use water within about an hour

so perhaps on your way out

    (I checked her drains spotless)

    how safe is this stuff?

We use jeyes on the floor outside mainly to deter ants (it works a treat) and I worry about children and pets walking on it etc

Use a cup of soda crystals followed by a kettle of boiling water once a week.
I love the smell of Zoflora disenfectant. They use to make a hyacinth one - lovely!

I wash my kitchen floor using zoflora as it smells really nice. After I have used it I pour it into the kitchen bin to clean this and then pour it down the sink and it gets the drains smelling nice. Three jobs done and saving money :D
