I used trailfinders on advice of others and once the ticket is booked you have access to your itinary online, which is very useful. Once travelling, to change flights (dates, not destinations) was as easy as ringing the airline office in whichever counntry you happen to be in (and I wasn't charged anything extra although I did make lots of changes). If you buy a BA/Quantas alliance ticket, check if it allows you to accumulate airmiles (this depends on the class of ticket, even some economy ones qualify, ring BA with the details of any quote and they will tell you). If it does, join the BA executive club online - you might then get enough miles to access their lounges - (very useful for free internet access, drink and snacks as well as shower facilities). And might just swing an upgrade in the right circumstances. (As well as having enough airmiles when you return for an european flight). Trailfinders can also book hotel accommodation for you, very useful if your flight arrives late at night - otherwise we did ours on arrival, and got some amazing deals (often airports have accommodation desks with great hotel deals and transfers included). Do lots of research before you go, ask lots of questions and prepare yourself well and you will have a fantastic time where-ever you decide to go.

Used Travelbag last year and they were very good. They even changed our ticket before we left for only £15 each which was a bargain, flew with BA and Qantas. Why don't you give them a phone and see what they can do. If you do use these then I suggest like "researcher" join the Exec Club. To join you need to be on a qualifying ticket (such as flexible economy or World Traveller Plus) - i think for the first leg only. After that you can accumulate miles on any ticket but for cheapo's and other airlines flights then you only get 1/4 of the actual miles - but they all add up. Unfortunately the access to lounges goes on Tier points (yearly accumulated BA only) and not miles and I think you may not have enough (we flew BA LHR-SFO and HKG-LHR in WTP and still haven't got enough).
Anyway back to the original post there are lots of places that offer RTW tickets you can look in the Saturday or Sunday travel supplements offered by the more "quality" papers here. There is also a RTW ticket from Virgin, Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines THEGREATESCAPADE but unfortunately the website isn't working but you can phone.
Make sure you do do your research as it is cheaper to stay somehwere a couple of days longer than buying a new ticket from the UK in several years time because you missed something that you really wanted to see.
Just an idea but New Zealand and Hong Kong are fantastic and should be seen and if you want to see something out of this world then try Las Vegas!

Both Star alliance and One World (that includes BA and Quantas) offer round the world tickets. However I think the cheapest is either the Great Escapade (Singapore Airlines, Virgin and Air New Zealand). However I think the BA/Quantas offering is quite cheap as well. It does depend where you want to go though. I've used STA Travel in the past, because I found they did give pretty good advice on routings, etc."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
