Transfer Wise Borderless Accounts do an American account if you can get it to there.
Not sure if Revolut do the same or not.Thanks

Revolut are probably slightly better on the exchange rate, but Transferwise Borderless has the advantage that you can pay into it from a US domestic account using ACH. This is the US equivalent of BACS or Faster Payments and is fee-free.
With Revolut, you'll have to use SWIFT, and this may incur a fee (hard to know up front because it depends what route the money takes through the SWIFT network, i.e. is an intermediary involved?)0 -

we use https://www.currencyfair.com/ who have a fixed £3 fee.

It depends on the source, if the dollars are in your own account or it's a payment from elsewhere, and the amount.
