Hi - I spend a similar amount, perhaps a little less overall and find mysupermarket.com really useful for finding the best way to spend my cash. Hope that helps, not sure if this is the right board either. V

Fixtureferret seem to charge for the service wheras mysupermarket seems to be free. It's also very easy to use and even prints your shopping list!!

Hi I picked some up in The Works for around 2 quid each - also you should look in search engines at some of the teaching sites - try typing in KS4 and the name of the subject and see what comes up. V

HI Just noticed SallyBananas discount code on the John Lewis thread - that works for wine over £75 - thanks Sally V

Thanks for the info, unfortunately the Ocado ones don't appear to go through for me which is a bit of a shame! The Somerfield wine sounds like a good offer, but I have a particular case in ind from Waitrose.

Thanks for the reply - I have tried it, but was unsuccessful. V

Hi there, The same thing happened to me. I emailed the manufacturers who were really helpful and sent replacement cards immediately at no charge. They worked fine. Good luck.

I would like to ask all those who have noted that Farepak wasn't the best place to put money whether they have been up in arms about endowment misselling? Similar problem, larger scale except with the expectation that there would be money for nothing at the end of it. There has been so much done about that - maybe the…

I understand the site itself cannot help to compensate for the misery caused by this and was pleased to see Martin's note at the start of this thread. However, this site, by it's very nature of trying to help those in need, probably has an awful lot of members who are affected by this. Surely if a campaign can be set up…

I made an appointment at my local Boots. The cost is £15. Better than flu (which I had two years running!).

You could always mention environmental health officers will be contacted as well as the store.

I didn't know about it til I saw this post so thanks to OP.
-
thanks to the op for a great reminder that these are on offer. We are very pleased with ours and sorry you have had your post hijacked!

Nationwide did tell me once that many customers have complained about this so at least they are aware. They were very helpful at comparing the cost with and without the fee paid for the better rate. Moving a mortgage does incur the same fees so I guess they have a captive audience.

Hiya - what an interesting OP!! I sometimes write letters to the kids overnight with various scenarios - pirate treasure hunt? space explorers/ secret agent and then when they wake up we spend the day making stuff out of junk to go with the tasks set in the letter (ie make a boat to sail around the islands in the home,…

There is a great article in this week's obeserver online about the effect of bringing up kids with too many activities and too much materialism. I think you are right, but maybe the other parents weren't watching with regard to the money - often other parents are fascinated by how others deal with such situations - it…

Worth checking out the Eden project if you can - last year it was best to go after five as it was much cheaper and there is a great atmosphere. It stayed open till tennish - I guess you could check it out on their website. Look at the Jungle Season section for details.

Hi there - know exactly where you are coming from Loonyleo. I think as you have no other debts and can obviously afford a holiday why not go for it. Yes save the big holidays for when they can remember it, but holidays can be so worthwhile that they are worth the expense. It needn't be a race to see how quickly you can pay…
