Package increases then to £98 a month but been pre warned of a price increase…

They started doing home design appointments from 1st September for £40. Had mine today and they came and measured up, planned the kitchen, discussed ideas and quoted me. Lots more storage than what I currently have :)

As others have pointed out. Five years use you would expect the mattress so soften and therefore not be as comfortable to you as it once was, it doesn't mean that it is faulty! I've had an eco master inspection of a mattress from IKEA and they deemed the dipping a manufacturing fault and replaced the mattress without any…

Hey there, Just came across this thread browsing the loan sub forum. The dates in all of the various articles are confusing the hell out of me so if someone can help clarify that would be amazing. I took a together mortgage out in April 2005 with an unsecured part at £11.5k. I sold the property in February 2007 and repaid…

Thanks all. :)

What absolute poppycock. If IKEA didn't want disabled shoppers, why would they provide assisted shopping for disabled people? IKEA provide manual wheelchairs for their customers (I know as my friend is disabled). We've asked about mobility scooters before and unfortunately as IKEA is a global firm their policies are not…

Just a word of warning, IKEA are advising to leave the trees outside until the 16th of December due to them having a two week indoor lifespan. Trees will be grouped into small, medium and large but are all £25 :)

Totally agree but the OP is insistent on spitting his dummy out because he's no longer getting his account benefits for free. I didn't even know these fee waivers existed until this happened. I've had mine for a couple of years now but do use the benefits on a regular basis :)

What makes you think this was missold? Did your father get a key facts illustration outlining the interest charges? Mine spells it out quite clear that for every £1 I borrow I will pay back £2.81. Sadly your father is an adult and unless you can prove he wasn't of mind I think you'll be stuck with it.
-
I have to admit, I was thinking that! I just hope the BOE base rate stays low for a few more years :D Thanks! I've done a few more rough calculations. I'll be paying roughly £145 a month off the secured when the new payments take effect so I will overpay this to by £55. Then i'll be paying around £45 a month off the…

Thanks The J - Do you have any thought on which part to overpay? Part of me thinks the secured to bring the LTV down so I can get a better deal when interest rates go up but then with a near £25k loan it really wouldn't make that much difference.

Looking at your previous posts i'm not so sure anyone should be lending you £18,000. What do you need the money for?
-
I don't agree with you mcpaderson. I am a Lloyds customer and I was made perfectly aware of the changes with a letter that stated "Our charges are changing" and a booklet which clearly spelt out the changes. The fact is was once free is irrelevant - it's now not. If you don't want to pay it then don't use the overdraft. If…

VAT on residential energy is charged at 5% and didn't change when the VAT went down to 15% and hasn't changed now VAT has gone up to 20%.
-
You commented on something that wasn't relevant. You snipe at the company and it’s employees. The article written is very poor and does nothing but try and stir people up about something without reporting the true facts. It's true the wholesale arm has made a substantial profit and I am not disputing that but it cannot be…

Yet you persist in posting drivel rather than avoid ;)

Yes eurmalian but it's the kind of poor journalism we've come to expect from MSE. My advice is that if you do intend to switch once all of the companies have made their pricing annoucements to do it directly via a cash back site or the energy suppliers site and not through MSE affilliate links.
-
Why don't you switch to quarterly variable direct debit then? It will allow you to keep your tariff whilst paying by DD and you won't be in credit or debit. Your quarterly bill will be issued to you and 10-14 days later the full amount taken by DD.
-
You can do - you just need to be on a tariff that allows it. I'm presuming you're on an online tariff that requires you to pay by DD? I'm currently £250 in credit for both gas and electricity which will be staying where it is in case this winter is as bad as the last :)
