I have seen in my daily paper an advert for a company called Trendmicro. There web page is trendmicro.co.uk. They provide, amongst other things, a security system based on the cloud. As I am always looking for better security, has anybod heard of them or used them please.

Hi Everybody. Haven't been here for quite a while. you're still very busy little bees, 34 pages in 14 days . It was one of the reasons that I packed this thread in, just could not keep up. anyway it's nice to see you all, lots of new people too I see. The reason I'm posting is that over the last couple of years my…

Thanks cmatt. I'll try it as soon as I can get back on my new computer. A McAfee update (the first one done) completely screwed up the system nullifying the mouse and keyboard making the computer unuseable.:eek::mad:

I've been using Spybot160 for some time now and have noticed that I've been getting quite a lot of spam starting a few months ago. Spybot updates seem to be generated from sites all over the world and once when I updated from a German source I got a load of spam in German. A couple of days ago I got rid of Spybot, and, lo…

M&S are also price matching Tesco, or at least in my area they are, but you cannot do a full shop there as the range is very limited. Their veggies though are very good. However I have recently discovered the delights of our local fruit and veg market (open Thursdays & Saturdays only). Their prices are similar to Mr T's…

This is a great insight into the "Dis-service levels of Talk Talk & BT". I am now in a state of utter despair  Are there any Telephone/Broadband suppliers out there who are any good. It seems that they are like politicians, only working hard to feather their own nest and screw the common man . The voices in my…

Thanks Guys & Girls, I am now persuaded to change to BT. I've had Tiscali for a few years now but have had serious problems with them. I have a new computer using Vista and have not been able to connect due to driver problems. Having spent a couple of hours on the phone to them going through their rituals they finally sent…

The packages available on Talk Talk seem to allow for only Wireless connections. As both my computers are wired connections, would this be a problem?

Re: MySupermarket. This is a very good site but I have one reservation. When I am buying from Tesco the basket cost is always cheaper than the other three quoted supermarkets. When I (occasionally) from Ocado the same applies. What I am concerned is, what is MySupermarket comparing the items with??? If I buy a discounted…

I bought a Dell in 1999 and it has gone very well for most of the time. Just lately it has been playing up somewhat so have now bought a new Dell Inspiron 531 for £427 which includes their All-in-One printer, VAT and delivery. I am hopeful that it will give the same good service that my old one has. However I'm not sure…

Hi Folks, it's the first of June and it hasn't rained today. Must be Summer. A NSD for the last 4 days as had Mr T round last Wednesday. My goodness 29 pages with 580 posts already. My, you have been busy. Can any of you good people tell me about using White Vinegar, Soda (for washing) and any other products that can be…

I can now declare my Total for May as £201 and my Budget for Jun as £236. Not surprised that Im under budget as DW3 has been in the US for nearly 3 weeks. See you all tomorrow Love the FM

Hi Mandy, yup Bobbykins is right it stands for FrogMiester (or Master) which ever you prefer. I like Miester (sp) as I'm probably half German, not sure which half, but sometimes my legs have a hankering for Ledenhose :rotfl:so that might be a clue. Anyway the story is that some lovely lady said that I was "As mad as a box…

Hi BigMummaF - Hope I didn't hurt your feelings. Having re-read my post, I think I was a tad harsh. Trouble is, that's me all over. Never been known for my charm and tact, ask anyone in our family , 'fraid it's too late though, I'm far too old to change now, although I do appreciate the fact that this is a very…

Funny you should say that Kaz. We don't have a Mr M near us, but we spent a week's holiday near Bude last month and there was a Mr M near where we were staying. As the hol was self catering our DS2 took us there and I thought their prices were somewhat higher than our Mr T where I normally shop, although they did have a…

This really depends on certain factors: When did you sow them and how big are they now and have the first true leaves appeared? How many seedlings there are in the trays, ie did you sow thinly or thickly? How many plants of each do you want and how much space have you got in the garden to grow them? Generally I wait until…

I used to have that problem as I always followed DW's method of sealing pastry edges with milk. Then I read that beating an egg and using that as a seal worked much better and if used as a wash over the pasties gives a beautiful golden finish to the cooked pastie. Bake in the oven on the middle shelf at GM5 for about 40…

Searching_me I'm so sorry for you. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be in your and your DH's position as we have never experienced such a sad misfortune. We hope that you are both being very strong and heeding all the advice that the dear ladies have given you, and a great big:grouphug: from DW and me.…

We're having a delivery today from Ocado (Waitrose) and when I placed the order through MySupermarket it said that the total was cheaper than Mr T, which I normally order from. I was a bit surprised to say the least as Mr W is the most expensive grocer on the planet, with the exception of maybe, Harrods. I suppose that…

Good evening one and all. Hope you are well. I've not been around too much for the last couple but hopefully I'm around on a more regular basis now (groans from the gallery). Did O/K for April, came in about £10 under budget, so have set May's budget at the same weekly amount. Went to town with DW on Friday as we needed to…
