DT is quite civilised generally. I thank MSE for providing the means for people to get together and whine (let's face it) but people need to report posts when there is a real problem and too often MSE resources are called in for spats. If I was moderating I would get rid of repeat reporters rather than the repeatedly…

I wouldn't buy one because I would lose it.

Ohh rude. No, I simply mean we should claim a fair cut based on what we generate as a sovereign nation. In reality we should share the whole lot globally. Yes I know that would mean poverty for all but the elite via the monetary system, that's why it must go.
-
That's never been my point. I don't care how much better off I am than someone carrying water from a well 5 miles away. I want a fair share of my own country's wealth. I don't expect my mates to contribute 50p to the round and tell me that's worth £500 in Outer Mongolia.

No, its a poor wage. Its not OK because we are a rich country. No one would starve but we can do better than this if the country is governed to benefit everyone.

Yes claim it. http://www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/supporting-you/benefits-and-personal-independence-payment/how-do-i-claim-pip/completing-the-pip-form.aspx see hear for help. Just make sure you identify how your needs are spread over a day rather than being concentrated into a single session of help. Keep a diary of the…

I'm easy to please. Just plan it well in advance so I can book annual leave and give my apologies.

Equity release gets my vote. It's sold as something other than debt. It's not, it's debt. And when that twigs with people because their circumstances change it causes a lot of anxiety.
-
Of course you will see 93. Benefits and work bods are notoriously tough. I would be surprised if you didn't make 100.
-
Full time students can't usually get benefits but those getting pip are treated in the same way as non students so you can keep you pip and ESA. The only problem would be if the demands of the course contradict the reasons you get ESA/pip in which case they might reassess you.
-
Its very unlikely you will get into trouble. Just explain. The bar for fraud is very high and I you dont meet it from the info but you will have to repay any monies owed.

That's not how it works. you only have one need for mobility help and one need for care needs. if these are met in full by DWP they do not need to be met again via compensation. The argument that needs to happen is that need is not met, not that need is met but only on the back of other needs. If need is met, its met, and…

PIP can only be recovered against compensation awarded for care or mobility needs so if your compensation is to reflect lost earnings it won't be an issue. Talk to your solicitor about the detail.

Benefits and work is much saner than this particular board and does great work. Here's to another 20 years of your contribution to that :)
-
So, if you are a benefits and work mod, why did you come here to whistle blow? Edit- sorry wrong end of the stick due to not reading the whole thread. This whole thing is nonsense. The thing I don't understand is how this person's charade is intended to help the situation disabled and sick claimants find themselves in. I…

No you miss the point. There was a recent court case entitling part time chairs to a pension. Hence the theory. Edit: O'Brien v moj
-
Yes they are but you won't find anyone in the sector calling them judges in informal conversation.
-
Maybe they are but the poster is not convincing as evidence of it. There are also theories that the backlog is about getting rid of tribunal chairs by with holding income because very generous pension rules were introduced and they want rid of the numbers of part time chairs who would otherwise end up entitled to the…
-
I don't doubt they are 2 different posters, but neither work for the tribunals service. On the outside chance they do they can email https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/contact-and-help he'll verify and get the 'story' out.
-
I read all the posts from both because I'm interested in the theories as to why the pip backlog. Nothing rang true.
