I will on the Facebook and the neighbourhood websites. I contacted the real firm to let them know that there are these guys running round using his company name. I have not yet heard back. I now have had a builder and 2 roofers tell me that those guys did more damage than I had before. So should not get a penny and if they…

They did not get paid. they also managed to burn all around it and also one of the window section frame and the panel. I did not want to flood the post with too many pictures. Another roofer looked at it a friend of a friend and he said everything they did is rubbish and he was able to lift it all up Ising his fingers. he…

He also sent me pictures of items that still need to be replaced under the tap. My son said I should just send him his bill. And the repair bill. He would owe me money. But yes your suggestion is the easiest. He wants £500. The repair is around £300. He can have his cheap tap back so that’s another £50 off. So he will get…

I was completely shocked and speechless. I just wanted him gone.

He only gave me whaffle and excuses and sent me this link fir me to repair it myself because I am good at art. 🤦https://www.wickes.co.uk/PlastiKote-Fast-Dry-Brush-On-Enamel---Gloss-White-59ml/p/134126

I know I probably can’t get money off him to pay for the damage. He is known in the area as a reasonable handiman and my daughter and neighbours used him as well. If anyone had complaints I would not have used him. I just want to know if I have to pay him at all for the bathroom job. Or I pay it partially for the two bits…

Yes I have legal insurance.

Because its not negotiable. Its hard physical work. It sends the wrong message. That's why no one wants to come round to see the garden. Gardeners can be picky as to who they are taking on. It may be different if there were more gardeners than gardens, but that is not the case. I took my mobile number off my website last…

I am a PROFESSIONAL gardener going into my 5th year. I studied with the RHS. I know my plants and my worth. I know the difference of a weed to a plant. I know how to and when to prune. I love proper gardens with lots of plants in them. I have a waiting list. My charges are £50 - £60 for the first two hours minimum and £20…

Because I dont want to post too much information out there on the WWW. Its irrelevant anyway. As a woman one needs to be more careful I find. I was just panicking about the licence plate issue. But thats OK now.

Maybe, but the quickfit guy said all is well there, in fact he said for the age of the van it looks extremely good. There is always a risk that something needs fixing, especially at that age. But I prefer a brand name to look after my van (except the dealership brand as they take the mickey, plus they treated me bad by not…

I got good parts because I saw the packaging, in fact I took the stuff home with me. Yeah of course I paid for it for the next fitting, but the cost in a few years time would be higher, this way I don't have to worry about it anymore. The van is my livelihood, no van no earnings. So if I look after it it will serve me…

Cool idea. But there is nothing in my van in the cab area where I could find stuff to pry off and to look at. Everything is solidly fixed to the vehicle. The back of the van is panelled up with wood. I gave it a deep clean on the first day. The previous owner had a dog and doggy hair was everywhere in the front. But maybe…

Because one of my customers has a very steep drive and the van was screeching and I also had a valve leak and when I took it to them they told me and showed me that I had no brake pads left and that I was breaking metal on metal. So needed the disks and the pads replacing. Completely worn down. I now have a lifetime…

OK thanks, that is good to know. Its just all very confusing. Being first used vehicle purchase and all. I was just worried because whenever I quote the 2008 reg the companies had problems finding it at first (Finance company and Insurance company).

OK, I think it was a vanity plate the van had when it first got registered. I cannot tell from the shape as its the same from 2004 up to 2010. The V5C states the date of first registration as 2008. But one of the extras it has was not available in the UK before end of 2008. So the van has to be a 2008/2009 model. I must…
-
Because the service booklet and the MOT certificate had the 2004 reg on it I believe the car to be a 2004 model and not a 2008. I did the VIN check and it came back as a 2009 model. I will now go and google the model type to see it this type existed in 2004. Maybe the 2004 was a vanity plate and I am getting myself in a…

It states 2008. But it does not mention the other reg number. Its so irritating that the 04 reg is on the service booklet and the 2010/2011 MOT certificate.
-
The doc I have is the service booklet. It states the reg with the 04 and the MOT doc found online stating that the reg was changed in 2011 to the 2008 reg. Thats why I thought the van is a 2004 originally and was upgraded to the 2008 reg later. The van sales doc is from 2012 and it shows the 2008 reg and states it was…
