OK, I think it was a vanity plate the van had when it first got registered. I cannot tell from the shape as its the same from 2004 up to 2010. The V5C states the date of first registration as 2008. Because the service booklet and the MOT certificate had the 2004 reg on it I believe the car to be a 2004 model and not a 2008. I did the VIN check and it came back as a 2009 model.
