Yes e-mail has never been connected to Amazon and no other family member shops with Amazon. Will pursue the matter with Amazon and Action Fraud.

Thanks for the advice which I will follow. I'll have a look at the fund performance and review but purely for my own pension fund, and may well just leave as is for now.

Thank you for the reply. The Aviva funds are held in the default funds, based on age profiles. How confident can I be and how can I review that the fund managers are doing a good job of investing our money without going to the expenses of seeking an IFA to do a review or would the potential increase in fund performance…

Apologies for the typo. With regard to the tax relief, I have no other capital gains so based my level of investment and pension level, I am unlikely to have an income tax or CGT exposure whether ISA, investment or pension, I think.

Apologies for any confusion. The original plan was as follows. Flight number 1 Edinburgh to Newark. Flight number 2 Newark to Memphis. Flight 2 is cancelled by United due to bad weather (I know no compensation for that as internal US flight.) Flight 1 is unaffected by weather etc. United apparently cancel both flights for…

Hi, I was hoping that someone could provide some advice on my specific circumstances with United Airlines. Booked a flight through a UK travel agent from Edinburgh to the US. There was a further connecting flight internally in the US. When we arrived to check in at Edinburgh we were told that the connecting flight had been…

Thanks for the responses - looks like we are staying where we are.

Thanks for the responses - will give them a call!

A quick follow up question if I may. The cheapest policies for me only are then really expensive when I include a notional daughter. Also the cheaper policies including her are expensive when it is just me. In this case I presume it would make sense to take out a policy in my name only and then cancel and take out a new…

Thanks for the answers - we'll see how it goes!

You'd be surprised at the number of people we have at work who give us the wrong bank details, we get quite a few at work every year. As mentioned above there is a good chance that the sort code and account number you have given doesn't actually exist, in which case BACS (if using BACS) will return the money to the…

Also as an employer and interviewer I agree with bugslet - wouldn't bother me and the honesty will come over favourably.

Agreed with the others not to worry about it. P45 will go to payroll who are unlikely to have seen your CV to know what salary you stated you were on. In addition, your salary could be higher in theory for all sorts of reason over and above your salary such as a bonus, accrued holidays paid when you left, car allowance etc…

I bought myself this bike recently, and for under £200 have been happy with it. I use it at weekends (if the weather is OK) for cycle routes and quiet roads the same as you are intending to do. http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/road-bikes/carrera-tdf-mens-ltd-road-bike

Thanks for the responses. What I am looking for is a cost effective version of something like paypal where members can pay fees online. However we are talking about a small number of people at the moment so perhaps just giving out the bank details might be the way to go for now. Thanks again.

Thanks for the comments - will stick with the thermos.

Are there fixed assets?

Sorry yes should have been more clear, I meant that they are the same figure as in the same numerical value.

I think if you are talking anywhere near those sums of money and are looking at retirement planning then you need to be getting some sort of proper financial tax planning advice rather than on an internet forum. However in theory if the business has settled all its debts then you could look at using the funds to fund…
