Problem with Blah DVD - Hello Kitty boxset price

Not sure if this is the right board but this is where I first saw the offer so wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

This is my first order from Blah.

I ordered the Hello Kitty DVD Boxset - not sure of RRP but I have seen it around £59.99 in a few places - from Blah when it was on offer at £6.99

I had the following email from them on 20/12

"Dear Mrs. Crossland

This is your order update - We apologise apologise sincerely but the following items including "PRE-ORDER" items are currently not in stock and are on order from our suppliers.

Order Date: 10/12/2005 22:24:09

Hello Kitty (Animated) (Bumper Pack) (x 1) @ 5.95 GBP

Unfortunately this means that we do not expect to be able to fulfil the order prior to christmas.

We understand that this may cause problems but would rather our customers were kept informed of the situation.

Please advise if you would like us to suggest an alternative product which is in stock or whether you would prefer to cancel the outstanding items.

Although my order status shows £5.95 (I ordered 2 items & had a £2 discount on the total order so a little came off each item) but if you go on the site it's now showing at £47.99! They can't charge me £47.99 can they if when I ordered it was £6.99? They have not said they are cancelling my order nor said anything about the price but I am just worried that I won't have enough to cover it when payment goes out as there is a big differenece in price.

This is not a pre-order as far as I know, like I said I have seen it for sale at other places

No,they can't quote one price and charge another when it dispaches.Best sit tight and hope it comes.Had the same with a box set from HMV which more than doubled in price time they sent it,but they still charged the price I ordered it at.

i just checked my account with them as i also purchase the hello kitty dvd set..i didnt use codes or order anything else so there is something not right with your account...why not call them to get it rectified in case you do have to go through the hassle of it being refunded back to you..number is 01534 494806 ..find out when they are back in stock and let us know! hth

hellofreebies, there is nothing wrong with her account. She ordered at £6.99, and has effectively £1ish off each item. It has therefore shown up as £5.90. That is correct for a Blah discount order. The email is just to notify her out of courtesy that it will arrive after Xmas. She will receive the item when in stock, and she will be charged £5.90.
There is nothing to worry about here.

Thanks for replying everyone. I'm not too bothered about it not coming for Christmas as DD as plenty of pressies lol (understatement of the year) but just needed to know it would be that price. Just to add the other item I ordered at same time arrived fine (That was a Christmas present for DH) & I was charged the correct amount with the discount.

Was just thinking that if the £6.99 price was a mistake surely they would have told me by now (I ordered approx 2 weeks ago), wouldn't they? Like I said I haven't seen it this cheap anywhere else (Even £47.99 is cheap for this set but my money can't stretch to that much at the moment)

This is the boxset - if anyone can find it elsewhere cheap can you let me know please (just in case this one doesn't arrive for whatever reason)

I had an email like that about a different boxset I ordered, and just thought I'd leave it to see what happened. It was delivered a few days later.

Obviously they made a mistake so they will say after Xmas that they could not get any in at that price and cancel the order for you.

Had that happen to me before even though they had the same thing in at the correct price .. they will just say that is different stock from a different supplier.

Nice if I am wrong tho :j
