Seafreshltd - anyone use them

Hi

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but the wife just bought in bulk some chicken and fish from Seafreshltd.

Anyway - as not used them before, I wondered if anyone else does?

Thanks

Scott

    Hi slewis,

I've never heard of them before now but I've just been looking through the website and in my opinion the prices are very expensive.

A quick comparison with some items on Tesco's website:

Fillet steak Tesco £22.99/ kg compared with seafresh £32.10/kg
Sirloin steak Tesco £15.48/kg, seafresh £24.50/kg
Duck breasts Tesco approx £2 each, seafresh £4.70 each
Haddock fillets Tesco £7.96/kg, seafresh £18.12/kg
Salmon fillets Tesco £13.46/kg, seafresh £20.83/kg

I certainly wouldn't buy from them.

Additionally, my butcher and the farm shop in the next village, sell meat far better than Tesco, and it's cheaper ;)

That's the thing.....I looked everywhere on the site to see if I could find any mention of the meat being organic or free range and couldn't find anything.

Haven't had time to check prices but I found another supplier www.regalfish.co.uk
It's local to us, but have never ordered from them... but have never heard any complaints either.

We had a company came round the door recently with frozen fish which they tried to sell us on the basis that they only come round every 3 months so this was my only chance to buy for ages. They were very expensive. Got rid of them by asking if the salmon was wild or farmed, and was it organic - he clearly didn't know and just kept telling me the name of his supplier.
