My finger is twitching!

This is driving me nuts.

My right index finger has been twitching since yesterday, really twitching, not just a tiny bit. It's happening about every twenty seconds and I want it to stop ... now!

I'm just wondering why twitchy fingers happen and does anyone have any tips on getting it to stop?

    Yep, I get this.
Have you put unusual weight on your forearm or any part of your arm?
    Leaning with hand under chin?
Resting spare arm on edge of table?
Given up drink? biggrin.gif Joking hun, its the whole hand in that casewink.gif
    Lacking sleep?
    Dehydrated?
    Over 30?

All these and more can cause similar symptoms. If none apply see a Doctor.

  • I get tingling in my right little finger due to a trapped nerve. You may have slept funny on your arm....try bending your arm and rotating your hand towards your head (bit like a demented wave!) - that's what my physio has recommended to stop it before the pins and needles set in.
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

I've had the twitchy thing too....comes and goes.....the last time it lasted for a couple of weeks

I came to the conclusion it was a 'trapped nerve'

But isn't it soooo annoying ?

    Thanks for the replies!

I've kinda worked out that it may have been to too much use of the mouse! I'd been playing a Pogo game that needed a lot of clicks and then later did quite a lot of googling which involved a lot of clicks too. The twitching has gone now but starts again when I use the mouse. Maybe I should spend less time on the PC!

i kinda rest my wrist right on the edge of the table and my elbow also seems to be in an awkward position when I'm holding a mouse and I think that has an effect on my twitches
