Obviously your IFA's advice on managing drawdeown is not in line with your needs.
No Ed cant see the OP mention an IFA!

I would suggest dump your "adviser" as he/she appears to have either woefull understanding of drawdown or a woefull ability to communicate it to you.
Why would you wait for the price fo something to rise before buying ?
If you are not prepared to accept investment risk why the dickens are you (were advised?) to be in a drawdown plan?0 -

Pity most people can't tell the difference between an FA and an IFA.Shouldn't they be able to?
It is a shame. With tied agents and salesforces responsible for most of the problems and the way many tied reps give the impression they are independent it is a shame that people dont realise the difference. Thankfully the RDR will take care of that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Grentlemen,
Many thanks for the responses I received to my pension query, I am impressed by the level of expertise you have demonstrated and the promptness and willingness shown in helping to resolve my dilema.
Your responses promped me to contact my Pension Provider directly and they confirmed that I can draw on the interest from the fund. There are a couple of minor compliances which are not really an obsticle.
Thank you.0
