Any Idea on limit to vouchers accepted at Asda??

Does anyone have an idea of the amount of money off vouchers accepted at Asda????

I have today been given and £10.00 off a £30.00 spend by my nan and also accumulated at least £6.00 in money off vouchers for various other products.

My local asda ususally accepts 3 per item on each voucher even if not bought - but I wondered if anyone new about if they had a policy of amount of vouchers per spend?

I usually spend approximately £50 per week (sometimes less since due to moneysaving - wonderful!!) and also if any one knew of the policy on website print outs for add matches - had accepted once and refused next time, therefore not tried since??

Most Asda's would accept this against a £50 spend

This seems to be the norm across asda's these days

They do usually insist that it is a locally distributed flier or newspaper clipping this is to ensure they retain local busines being agressively pursued by competitors

Hope that helps in some way

I'm not sure how but I recieved two of these vouchures for £10 off a £30 shop, lucky me!!! Some cashiers will accept money off coupons on things that I haven't purchased but others won't.
  • I've always had no problem with my local asda in Grimsby as they seemed to take any vouchers even if you hadn't bought the product.

Seems they are tightening things at my branch though.

They wouln't accept Joey vouchers last week ( after Id been using them for over a month!)

And this week when I handed over my usual selection of vouchers from Sainsburys and Somerfield I was queried about whether I'd actually purchased wine!

I had.........but it wasn't one that the vouchers mentioned.........but cashier said that was fine.

Its a new ruling apparently but seems a bit daft to me ..........although I was happy as I got the usual tenner off me shopping but Im beginning to wonder how much longer this is going to last for??

Best policy - try and use them - if they kick a bucket, accept it and try again next time.

The official Asda policy was to accept any vouchers to 10% of bill. But this has now changed, my local Asda will only take product vouchers if you actually buy the product.

Try not to go to checkouts with younger operatives as they are most likely to toe the company line.

I used to work there, the rule is 10% of the spend. But if the customer was nice I would always put through as much as I thought was resonable. I used to hate people who came up with 100 vouchers and try and get away with it.

Our Asda is the same, 10% if you don't buy the item
    I haven't got one!

Almost had a Joey refused a couple of weeks ago, but she asked the boss and they let it through. Generally I stick to around 10% of the shopping bill so that I don't 'abuse' the system

  • I did some shopping at Asda's at Bromsgrove on Sunday as they had sent me a voucher for £10 off a £30 spend.

Well I spent £48, the checkout girl accepted my £10 off voucher no problem there, but I tried to use other money-off vouchers too. The girl was very nice but replied that she thought Asda didn't accept them unless you bought the product. I said I was surprised and could she please ask the lady at the next checkout. Needless to say her reply was different, she said that Asda accepts vouchers for up to 10% of the spend ! So I was then able to use some vouchers which was great.

I was well impressed with Asda's offers so although it was a bit out of the way I would go again.
