F&F Settlement Response

Hi All
I wrote to a DCA with a F&F Settlement Offer, they came back to me with a counter offer which was 85% of the original debt.
I stuck to my guns and offered the 30% again (im hoping they will go down to 50% roughly). I got a second response which sounds like a template letter they send out as it says its not acceptable, and that the amount i have offered to pay per month would mean the time it takes to pay it off is too long.
Ummm... im offering a lump sum.
Should i leave it for now, or send them a letter asking them to read my letter properly?!

I would probably send them a letter saying you have received the letter saying no and it would take to long to clear. Tell them you are a touch confused because you offered a F&F settlement and not a payment plan. Are you therefore to assume than as even a F&F settlement will take to long for them, then surely any payment what so ever will take too long and therefore they are breaking the OFT debt collection guidlines by refusing reasonable offers. :rotfl:
You never know you may confuse the person reading the letter so much that they accept the F&F.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Thanks LilacPixie, that made me chuckle.
I think i will send one as it may just annoy them enough to just agree. :rotfl:
