Can anyone recommend any decent deals around at the moment for vacuum cleaners?
Up right / cyclone / bagless etc - im not fussy.
between £50 - £80.
i know this maybe a bit out of the blue, but i have no idea except for the fact that Dyson could be a bit out of my range!!
cheers

Which / Consumer Association has just researched several models of vacuum cleaner. They had no best buys for uprights, but several for cylinders. If you don't mind if it's a cylinder-type, let me know and I'll let you know what their best buys were and approximate cost. There's no woman sicker than the woman who is sick on her day off !0

I bought a Dirt Devil Vaccum Cleaner earlier this year for about £70.00 as I couldn't afford a Dyson. BIG MISTAKE!! The Dirt Devil is pants, takes ages to get my carpet clean, overheats and has to cool down before I can use it again  Seriously thinking about getting rid and buying a Dyson. I only have stairs, landing and 2 small bedrooms to hoover as all other rooms have laminate or tiled floors, but the Dirt Devil still annoys me. Don't buy one!

Not saying it's the best but during waiting on the delivery of our Miele S571 -£109 (brill) I purchased the Tesco Value made in China vac which has proved to be great as a light upstairs vac. Oh yes, the price? About £18 - half of which I paid for in vouchers!if i had known then what i know now0

I havent used this one but it came up on our search for a cyclonic bagless upright - Proaction from argos and they have this one too both fit your budget, but we went for the trusty dyson.
I think proaction is maybe argos own make
but we did buy a proaction sleeping bag from them and it is of really good quality and the price was right at the time. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I picked up a leaflet in Aldi last week that had a bagless cylinder hoover for £35 available from this Thursday 13th October. I am thinking of getting one as my Dyson is about 7 years old and has just about had it! You can check out the Aldi one on the website under Special Buys - sorry I don't know how to do a link!
