Need New Dough Blade for Panasonic

Hi All,
My Panasonic's dough blade has got ruined today. It came off during a dough cycle, and had clearly worked it's way up the spindle, only to get 'rounded off' by the rotating action of the spindle, so now I know it won't stay on during a cycle. Fortunately I do have the spare blade for use with fruit loaves/cake mixes, but it's not quite the same.
I wondered if anyone had managed to find a replacement from anywhere other than ebay? I've found a couple on there priced at £11.50 + postage, but if I can get it cheaper, then I'd like to.
Many thanks,
Sary

How old is the machine...try writing to Panasonic, they may replace it for you.
Otherwise, google panasonic blade and the model, you may find a stockist.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Which model is it? It might be cheaper on the Panasonic website
I've just bought a replacement pan for mione, and saw them being sold on eBay for more than from Panasonic direct

Try advertising on Freecycle - someone may have a broken breadmaker which has the right blade, or a breadmaker they no longer use which they would be happy to give you. I am sure I have seen broken breadmakers offered for spares/repair in the past.0

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. It's an SD255 (with the nut/rasin dispenser), and I only got it last October, so I will get in touch with Panasonic before I buy one.
I love my breadmaker, and it has grieved me today buying bread in Asda - 50p for a bloomer loaf, and it was on special offer!!!! When flour is only 48p a packet, that really does annoy me. I'm going to see if the spare cake blade will be sufficient over the weekend or not at mixing the dough - I imagine it will. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Did you only get it October 2007 because if so it should still be under guarantee. If you haven't got the receipt but have a credit card statement soem shops will accept that. Otherwise depending where you bought it the shop my replace it. I discovered that Currys keep customer details on their computer and can actually check up when you bought an item from them & how much you paid so they then know if it is under gaurantee or not, and will then replace it even without a receipt.
I am now on my 3rd Breadmaker by the way.
The first got replaced under guarantee after the blade stopped turning and the second just wore out after several years.0
