Try posting your question again but on 'debt free wannabee' - it's more relevant to the 'anything else' forum. I'm sure you'll get the advice you need.0

Don't bother phoning, especially if it is an 0870 number. Just send correspondence back marked 'not at this address', or in this case, write recorded delivery and keep the counterfoil and a copy.I have this morning received a letter for a debt owed by the previous occupiers this is the third letter Ive had about this debt despite calling the numbers on each of the previous letters and alerting the company concerned to the fact that the person they seek does not live here and has not done so for more than a year so now have an instruction to issue in front of me but no telephone number to call any suggestions please I dont want hassle from debt collectors thanks in advance;)
In your position, if they started getting heavier about it, with actual court papers, I would then write to the court and attach a copy of my earlier letter. That's just my opinion, but I imagine the court might be glad to fob off a case if the plaintiff is after the wrong address. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people

I had things like that for previous person who lived at my addy. If there's a return address on the back on the envelope I always sent them back saying no longer at the address and have never had anyone knocking on my door after them.O0

Check the electoral register to make sure that you are the only ones registered at the address. My DS was getting lots of court warrant letters for the previous owners when he first moved but found out that the last owners were still listed. I think he just googled 'electoral roll' and was able to alter the entry for his address online.0
