Not sure, if the grant will affect your income then they may take it into consideration if not then no. You will of course incurr more expenses when doing this course;) . Keep the questions coming girl it keeps us bc out of trouble:rotfl: D

It will boost my income but I know that Housing Benefit won't consider it as income as it is a support grant to help cover your costs of going to uni. I guess I'll have to find that one out.

Another question - when your name is published in the papers as bankrupt, how far back do your addresses go? We've lived here for 1 year - will they print my previous address too?

Wow ok so I guess the key is to keep our heads down and not ask unless questioned!!
Another question (and I think they'll keep coming!), I will be starting a degree sponsored by my employer, in September, I think I'll be eligible for the grants the university give, will they take this off me to go towards my debts? I hope someone knows! My employment will stay the same just that I will also be attending uni one day pw instead of being at home with my daughter.
I can't believe how helpful everybody who has posted has been, thank you so much.

    Hi Princess,

If the degree is sponsored by your employer then presumably the grants you qualify for will be part of the course fees? If they are then they'll be paid straight to the Uni/College; if not, then they'll only be a relatively small amount for books etc; either way they won't be of interest to the O.R.

I can't think what other circumstances you'd be eleigible for a grant, if you're working.

It's kinda complicated but I'll try to explain best I can!!
It's a work based learning course, eg one day a week in uni, but it is classed as a full time course, which means I can apply for full time student financial assistance. I work part time, so 2.5days pw I am at work. I have two children and will have access to two forms of grant, which my dp received when he was a student.
The employer sponsorship means that they will pay what my LEA will not cover, so my fees are paid in full to the uni. This is completely seperate to the funding I will receive from student finance direct.

They print all addresses that you lived in when you incurred the debts in your BR. Along with your full name, maiden name (if applicable) and occupation. You know, just so there's NO doubt at all that it's you
