Anything going on in Manchester this weekend

Hi folks,
My Family and I (two adults & two under 5)are travelling to Manchester this weekend to see the in laws, just wondered if there is anything going on there, or in surrounding area that could entertain us???

Any ideas and suggestions welcome.
