Townsend Bicycles - Asda £59

Just been into Warrington (Cockedge Centre) Asda. By the door is a stand of A man's and a woman's Townsend bike at £59 each. The wheels are 26", and they supposedly fit women's inside leg 26-32", and 28-34" for men.
Don't know if this is just very local, and there were only 3 or 4 of each left. Pretty basic looking (not the atb look!).
The boxes are quite bulky, though I think you could probably take the cardboard away and fit the bike in a car.By the shape, think the wheel is probably packed separately.

Sounds like a pretty good deal! as long as it's not full/dual suspension.
Dont ever buy a full suspension under £600 unless you get it 2nd hand.
For any less than £600 it's likely to be crap and dangerous!0 -
if they are anything like this then reviews not good on the quality

That sounds quite cheap, but remember you usually get what you pay for with these types of things! The components of the bike, from the gears to brakes and general build quality will be cheap, mass produced parts.
For general, infrequent riders, it could be a cost effective way to get cycling.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.0
