Play.com are currently selling the Xbox 360 Premium + Forza Motorsport 2 + Viva Pinata + The Golden Compass for £179.99.
This deal is the cheapest I've seen after weeks of searching!
Only reservation - not sure if it is the new one with HDMI port. Maybe if anyone has bought one from Play.com recently they could let us know?
Also, I know the games that are bundled can be bought fairly cheaply - anyone know if they're any good?

I bought that package, havent even opened The Golden Compass as doesnt really look interesting to me - but Forza 2 is a fantastic racing game and Viva Pinata is very cute and very addictive...
The package is WITHOUT the HDMI port but when I bought it - it was advertised as having the port on it... *sighs*0 -

Off topic, I know, but that's probably the most depressingly true thing I've ever read...
Back on topic, seems like a good price, although the games are really common ones and can be got for a couple of quid on ebay - you're probably better off looking for a bundle with just one more recent game instead...0 -
On play.com the console itself is £189.99, or the bundle with 3 games £179.99. Even if the games are below par it is a better deal.0

Hmm, I'm still weighing it up. Really would prefer the model with the more reliable Falcon chipset which comes on the HDMI port models. Don't wanna have to be dealing with the hassle of a 'ring of death' situation, even with a 3 year warranty!
Amazon also have some interesting bundle offers with Premium Xbox for £189.99 + Halo 3 for £10, Gears of War £10, Grand Theft Auto 4 for £19.48 + choice of one other game for £20. Might go for a mix of the above as Amazon forum suggests all their models are now Falcons.
As a matter of interest, I asked in Game what their trade in would be on GTA4 as I would refuse to allow my 13 year old on it (much to his disgust!). They said they have an additional 20% on trade ins at the mo, so it would be £28. Tempted to get it at this price just to trade/sell on."A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it." :wall:
