Reliable Product Reviews

Options
I'm all for saving money and getting stuff on the cheap, but I also like to get the best possible product at the cheapest price. I try and do some research before buying things but this proves more difficult than it should be on the internet.

For example I'm looking to buy a new set of hair clippers. Last year I bought some Nicky Clarke ones that were on special offer in Boots, and boy do I regret not doing the research. They'd be fine if each time you shaved your head you wanted to look like Pinhead from Hellraiser or if you wanted to remove the fuzz from a peach, but for actually 'trimming hair' they're rubbish!

Google searches for "best hair clippers" or "hair clipper reviews" just brings up a load of shopbots masquerading as reviews. Does anyone know of any good product review sites?

The only trouble is your relaying on others peoples opinion ,so there is never no sure way of getting a product that is specifically for your needs and more over your tastes.it is eneviatable somethimes that you will buy a product that doesnt suit your needs/purpose to which some one else find absolutly fantastic, ive seen this on many product threads on this site alone.
Good luck with your search any way,my advise will always be if its something specific that your after,it is worth going to the phyical shop and asking the sales person, who should know more about what you need the item for and the best your going to get out of that product.(well in reality they should know).
im rambbling now.but just keep an open mind when conducting your searches.
Sorry but i dont know any searches, for this product,or other sites really.
    Good luck anyhow.

Hi Scum Dancing. I actually work for Reevoo which is a product review site. I know I'm a bit biased but the reason I think it's great is because you can't just leave a review on the website, you have to be sent an email questionnaire from us about the product you've bought. That way, we know that all the reviews are left by people who have definitely bought the products and not by someone who works for the manufacturers.

I had a look for hair clippers for you and the Nicky Clarke NCM14 XTREME http://www.reevoo.com/reviews/mpn/nclarke/ncm14_xtreme and the Remington HC363 Ceramic Salon Kit have some pretty good reviews http://www.reevoo.com/reviews/mpn/remington/hc363 . People seem to like the fact that they’re both rechargeable so that you can use them wherever you want to and you don’t have loads of wires around. Shoppers also say that the Remington ones are really easy to use.

    Hope that helps a bit!
