free security

using a link from this site, i downloaded a free microsoft security package. unfotunately all my usb ports have now stopped working. On speaking to the Tech Guys, this is an issue with some of microsoft downloads. Only way to fix is to reboot and start all over again. So all be warned.

Best advise is to keep a lot of things running from an external drive, and if possible, keep two external drives (incase one breaks) this way you will not lose most of your data.

I know its a lot of expense sometimes especially if buying two drives, but some of the things stored are invaluable. Rebooting a computer not using a lot of memory is simple and can be done at minimal expense. Especially when most faults caused are from downloads or upgrades.

    Thanks for your advise.
