Of course I realised pretty soon that I'd now have to restart the taxi service, but so far, so good, youngest needs a lift home tonight and I unthinkingly said "You'll have to ask your father" and then said "Or I could get you" and he said he didn't want me to get him!

Oh I've always been the designated driver in this family, 'cos I drink very little at the best of times and never when driving. Trouble is, DH has had to learn that I can't do the long journies any more, not like I used to, so he has to stay sober too!

DS1 doesn't drink either (at least he didn't when he left for Uni in September!) and he can drive too, but it costs an arm and a leg to put him on the insurance! Life is never simple!
