How to change pension provider

Hi,

My partner has personal pension plan with Abbey life, about £15,000 - but she is not happy with their annuity offer, it looks as tho' Aegon can provide more - how does she actually tell Abbey Life she wishes to use Aegon for her pension, She would be looking at level plan gauaranteed for 5 years (if that makes sense)

Also any web sites that provide agood comparison of various pension providers?

Cheers

Thats unusual. I havent seen them come out top using real figures for many years. I can certainly believe Abbey's option would be easily beaten using Open Market Option or Immediate vesting personal pension though.

She tells them she wants to do the open market option and can they send the forms for that (they may already be supplied).

Not really. Quote portals and FSA tables will give you a guide but too many companies still require to be phoned up to obtain figures manually. Plus there are some that do not publish their figures on the tables or do not update them often enough. One large provider is still using Aug 07 figures on the tables.

Is this her only pension provision as trivial commutation may be a better option?
