Does anyone else feel like they need a change?

Hi Guys.

I have had a bit of a rough time recently. But I really feel like I need a huge change in my life to celebrate teh decisions I have made and I was wondering if anyone else felt the same.

I don't know if it's the time of year or what, but I really what to make a fresh start and was wondering if anyone fancied joining me in a few changes?

I really want to beat my debt, it hasn't really been going down as the cc has been going up , my own fault I know, but I struggle with spending when I am low (getting sorted now) and I want to lose weight.

So...

I am a member of the SW support group and a lovely bunch they are, but I also feel like I need a challenge and a new direction for my life.

Not sure what though, and obviously with debt my options are limited.

But my changes will be:

- Start and stick to a healthy diet
- Do more exercise
- Stop all un-necessary spending.
- Cut up cc and never get another one!!!
- Get out more and be more sociable.
- Oh and to stop dwelling on the past, what is done is done.
- Think of myself first (in most situations anyway :p )
- Enjoy the time i have off/to myself

Hmm I think that might be enough to be going on with.

So does anyone fancy joining me so we can offer support to each other?

x

Ooooo i will Lucy. I know how you feel.

I have buried my head in the sand for years about my debt, and about my situation in general.

Ex's walked all over me (where money was concerned as well as other things) and since starting to get my debt under control i feel i am getting more control in other areas of my life.

    My changes will be:

    - Think of myself first (in most situations anyway :p )
    - Enjoy the time i have off/to myself
    - Get debt free! :o and dont get into more debt, spend what I have got.
    - Start looking buying my own home
    - Do some sort of exercise

    :D

    yep Lucy I'm in!

I decided today to give myself an early Christmas present, a healthy life!
I have real dodgy knees after a sports injury many years ago and I really haven't been looking after them. so... I need to make some changes too.

    - lose weight by having a healthy diet and more exercise
    - spend more time for 'me' (I'm the 4th emerency service to everyone!)
    - become a money saving expert!

    let's do it:D

Anyone who's followed my diary will have seen that I've done exactly the same thing recently. I felt like I was going nowhere and so I felt I had to make some changes and start thinking about myself instead of everyone else.
Never feel guilty for wanting to make a change and look after yourself. :)

    How strange!
Last night I had exactly the same experience!
Decided to get in touch with old friends that I have lost touch with (mainly due to being in a rubbish relationship) and try to do more stuff in general rather than relying on my new lovely BF to think of things and arrange stuff.

Had a proper sulk last night and then decided to stop being such a big girlie and to get onwith it.
Have volunteered to do some extra dog walking for a charity that supports elderly people with pets and am going to try to go back to my swimming teaching on a Sunday morning for people with disabilities. I really enjoyed this but again let it slip and then thought I couldn't go back - I'm sure that the first time will be a bit weird for the first 10 mins and then it'll be fine again.

I need to make more new friends but I'm not sure how do do this - seems daft to be 36 in a good job with a fab BF but still need new mates of my own IYSWIM!
    Any suggestions?

    Feeling a bit better already!

Not sure on how to make more friends, one I struggle with myself!

I am always amazed at how talking about something makes you feel better.

    I know - its daft isn't it?
Instead of doing what I shoudl be doingin work this morning I've been looking at swimming times, fitness classes and trying to think of other (non expensive) things to do that may help me meet more people and get out of my self imposed rut.

Fancy doing something mad like bellydancing.... Anyone brave enough to join me?

I've been looking at dance classes too - thinking about salsa and ballet. Saw a notice this morning for a book club once a month so might pop along to that.
