Some lenders do have more than one SVR rate and the lady I spoke to yesterday even said that they expect the rate to change very shortly.0

Have you tried ringing your current provider? I just got a 1.2% (I think) discount from Natwest by ringing up and asking why I hadn't been offered a new rate when my old one ran out. First they tried to sell me a higher discount with a fee tho0

Higher discounts with fees can work in your favour sometimes, if you do the maths

My current provider's retention department manager and product manager just got an evil fax saying I'd love to stay if you can roll me a package that is actually competitive.

Thought I'd wrap this one up now.
My current lender no longer wanted to offer me a deal to stay so it looks like I'll be going to the mansfield's 3 year 2% discount Fee free because they also allow overpayments I will save further than I would on a slightly lower rate paying £££ in fees without overpayments.
It's not a bad deal and they are real Gents on the phone. Even said they would speed it up if I sent photos of the house etc.
