I got no deal from Sky!

I rang sky today to discuss my account. I was presently paying £44 per month and I asked them what they could do with my package to keep me as a customer. I also asked about sky talk, line rental and broadband. Every extra she offered came with an additional charge, she said that she didn't have the authority to reduce the cost of my package or give me any extras for free (she said that previously they had the authority but not now and could only offer the deal which was on screen).
I cancelled my sky sports package and the mixes down to £18 a month and said that I would go to talk talk for my phone as she could not offer me broadband any cheaper than £17 a month on top of £15 for line rental and unlimited calls. I don't know how to get deals with Sky. That's my second attempt. BTW, I currently have sky plus, I thought I would have to pay £10 a month for this as I don't have a premium channel but she said that I didn't and I still have it at the moment.

The sky+ £10 premium was removed some time ago.

Sky+ is now free once you've paid for the box, (£99), it used to be £10 over a year ago.:j

I've just got one and was amazed when they said I could keep the old unit as it's mine after 12 months of subscription. As Sky+ has 4 outputs on the dish I could take another feed to a room upstairs using the old box. Or use it as a Freeview box as the engineer said.

Otherwise Sky have the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I was missold the Sea, Speak, Surf package over a year ago, signed up for it and then was told I couldn't get it - so my package cost almost doubled.

Took hours of calls but I finally got £50 back in compensation. They won't budge on price for broadband, or phone so I too have now signed up for Talk Talk.
