I survived !!!!!

I wonder if any of you ever get tired of being right ;),

As you may have read this morning at 9.15 i had my bankruptcy hearing. and as im here now posting this i survived the ordeal:T.

The proceedings were probably the most boring thing i have ever had to do. arrived at 8.50 manged to cue jump, the woman behind a desk looked over my forms, amazingly, she said they were fine and i seemed a simple enough case (not the first time I've been told that:D)
Then i was dragged down a few flights of stairs were we waited for about a hour with nothing to do other than people watch.
Then we were dragged back up the same few flights of stairs and told to wait again!!
I got called into a little room and was presented with a peice of paper stating i was indeed bankrupt:T.
Spoke to a nice woman from the OR office who asked a few questions and told me i would have a telephone interview. (not sure how i feel about that yet)

That was it over and done with, i didn't even have to see the judge.

For anyone out there who is about to go through this........listen to the good people on this forum, there really is nothing to worry about. (wont make a blind bit of difference you'll worry anyway:D)

My good wife is out this evening so im gonna get the kids settled and have a couple of well earned beers:beer:.

Marste and leilag I hope your day has been as good as mine and may I wish you a happy debt free future:beer:.

Welcome to the first day of your debt free life :T:T. Glad everything went smoothly, if a bit boring, that's why we say take something to read :D

Make sure you get yourself aquainted with the rest of the board now so you can get very money savvy. The moneysaving oldstyle board is great. Also sign yourself up to freecycle https://www.freecycle.org, like Ebay in that you bid for goods but they are free.

    Hey Dadof2,

Congratulations, it's not half as bad as you expect is it?! Now it's just the interview to get through which isn't all that bad- may be a bit draining:o Mine was as it was face to face:eek: !!! I'm three weeks into my BR and I must say although I felt imense guilt and anger at myslef initially, I now realise that I am in control and happier than before!!!

    Onwards and upwards eh!!

Congratulations on getting through it :)

I found it was just the waiting around that was annoying at court .. as TF says, thats why its useful to take a book !

You can now look forward to a debt free life!
