Does anyone work for Accenture?

I am thinking of going there for my univeristy placement for programming and just wondered if anyone works there and what the company is like etc.

From what I have been told thus far, its a very very tough job but also very rewarding.

  • I have dealt with Accenture many times as an end user/client of mine and as a business partner, and have always found them to be incredibly disorganised. It was often suggested by colleagues who had to work more closely with them, that they used their name to get what they needed but had very little to back it up - this is probably why it is marked as tough work.

That said, that's just the opinion I have of them from the outside. Inside they might be incredibly efficient - in any case if it's a temporary placement, it's still good experience ;)

I've just failed my job interview with them. I did a lot of research in preparation, and yeah it sounds tough but the skies the limit.

i'd struggle to think of many companies better to do your placement than accenture, it would look fantastic on the CV.
What's it going to be, eh?

What job were you going for?

And did they say how you failed?

analyst within the UK delivery centre, part of systems integration & technology consulting.

They wouldn't give any feedback as to why I failed which is frustrating.

it was my first interview for a graduate job so maybe came accross a little nervous and answered the questions too quickly. If you decide to apply I can probably remember most of the questions so just send me a PM, you might not what to take my advice on the answers though.
