Need Business Advice For Website Designing Firm

Hello there,
We are looking to advertise our web designing & web development business and have currently set a £1000-£2000 budget for it for the month of July.
We will be trying out a few options that will include sponsored listings in classifieds websites like gumtree.
Another option will be to start the feature of a 0800 number to provide sales & customer support.
We also plan to put a little advert in a newspaper and have requested quotes from several leading newspapers. However, while we plan for next week, can anyone throw some light on which newspaper's classifieds are real value for money for our kind of business.
We also have the option of sending in flyers to various businesses. Has anyone carried out such a campaign in a city like London or Birmingham and has found good results? The issue is with flyer distributing people who will put in 2 or more flyers through one single door which is kind of wasted money.
All suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

i think u need to be quite creative...
offlline advertising for a web company is a bit of an oxymoron isnt it?
surely using a combination of PPC and potentially other online stuff such as gumtree or facebook, blogs, forums etc would be a better way to go?
why dont u just bank the advertising money and approach people or companies and affer them reduced rates for web design or making web ammends to their current sites?
most design work in this sector is normally through referrals or off the back of a good portfolio.. this should be your main aim when you're starting outNo Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -

I am considering a website to advertise my new service. Although only 3-4 pages, It needs to allow paople to register for a free trial and ideally stop people being able to sign up more than once.
Once people have registered, I need to supply them with information on a daily basis (the same information to every member). One way is to post the info on the site for them to log in to check, another is to send it via email and/or text message, or maybe all three. The info is just a couple of lines of text.
After the free trial, I need a way to receive payment (monthly), I could probably do this by standing order, but that would mean constantly ensuring anyone who has stopped paying are stopped from receiving the daily info/logging onto site etc.
If I can get this done wholly via a site, that would be ideal but not if the site build/running is too expensive.
I would be interested in your thoughts, here or by PM.
