6 free Disney storybooks and bookrack if you sign up to their bookclub:
http://www.disneybookclub.co.uk/ska/
You'll also receive 2 other books as a home trial for their club. Return these within 2 weeks to cancel your club membership. The 6 storybooks and bookrack are still yours to keep.
Possible cost involved for you might be the return postage though, I doubt they'll refund that?0 -
Well , not exactly free GreenMetropolis.com is a exactly site.
You can sell and buy second hands books online.
Books sell for the around the £3 mark and the senders has to pay for the postage.
I buy the books , read then , then sell them so in fact this is a real cheap way to buy books.
Of course , it has the added advantage of recycling as well. For every book sold 25p goes to the Woodland trust , to plant more trees.
Well worth a look , for the bookworms out there.0 -
Become a book reviewer for New Woman magazine - you'll receive free books but have to review at least one book every 3 weeks and comment in writing on it:
http://www.newwoman.co.uk/book_club/join.asp
To apply you need to give them your personal details, attach a photograph, list your top 3 favourite books and write between 100 - 250 words on your favourite book out of those 3.0 -
To expand on this idea, I wrote to a publisher once to ask them if I could post the table of contents of a big web design book I was reviewing for my website. I didn't expect them to offer me free review copies of any book in their current catalogue - the only "price" was a review on my website, which I also told them I'd happily post the reviews on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. I got at least 6 books this way (and we are talking an average shelf price of £20 - £40 for the ones I was reviewing)... they are still on my bookshelf.b1234 wrote:Become a book reviewer for New Woman magazine - you'll receive free books but have to review at least one book every 3 weeks and comment in writing on it:
It may be a little cheeky, but if you want a particular book for free (or sometimes even to get it before it is due to be released) - write to the publisher and ask if you can review the book (the more places you are willing to post your review the better). If you were genuninely going to read it anyway then a review you can use on numerous sites is only a small price to pay to have a book sent direct to your door.
You don't have to post a glowing review either - so long as any critism is constructive I'm sure the publisher won't mind too much...The only computer error is a human one.0
