payplan DMP moving abroad

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knew if you can still be on a dmp with payplan and move to the usa not a lot changes in terms of salary etc but I'm just wondering how you get on over there with Uk based debt? I know in the US your credit rating starts from scratch

I was wondering about this too, I thought you started from scratch credit wise in US, but what happens if you have a DMP in place here before you go? or if you get into difficulty and can't maintain it once there....hope someone comes along that knows.
