quick question

when the 6 year period is up i.e. on 30 September this year, when will it come off your credit file. If i order my file tonight online will it be off or will it take time to update???

thanks

  • Should be off on the date in question as all updates are “live” on the system.

However this is actioned by the creditor / data controller, not the CRA. If it is still showing after the expiry date then a polite reminder may be in order to the originator of the data.
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them
