Sports equipment grants

Any ideas apart from the Sports council for Wales where an Aikido Club can get a grant to buy a new mat (£1500)?

Thanks

Have you tried approaching local businesses for support, what about the local council ,do they have smaller sports grants for local projects and the rest can be raised through other means.........just a thought

They are based a bit out in the sticks so no locals companies to ask - only farmers :o

I have told them go to local library as they should keep this sort of info, especially if the LA has any trust funds etc.

Sports Development Officers in your local authority should be able to advise you about a scheme called "Community Chest" which can access grants of up to £500 (I think)

Also theres a scheme for clubs and societies called "Awards for All", run by the national lottery good causes people. Theres a form to fill out, but if you're a club or society, you should be in with a shout.

if you google, fundfinders or funderfinder, grantfinder, etc they should come up with a list of sites that have links to all kinds of grant giving organisations some of which will focus on sports, some children, some communities.
each of the sites tell you how to make an application, either complete a form or write a letter.
