Best priced sail/surf shops in NI

Can anyone recommend a decent shop in NI for sailing equipment, wetsuits, boots, buoyancy aids etc? As I've no experience of any of this stuff I don't feel confident enough to buy online so hoping there is a friendly not too expensive shop somewhere. Both my kids have signed up for sailing courses over the summer and need to buy all the gear!

Many thanks..

  • Try Wick McCready, he's based in Holywood Co. Down, have a look here http://www.mccreadysailboats.co.uk/ there are a few places around that also sell wetsuits and the like for outdoor activities such as kayaking etc, Jackson Sports in Belfast, Taggarts in Ballymoney (coastandcreek.com). Shop around, Chandleries can be expensive.

There is a place in Comber that specialises in wetsuits .. they also have a web site but I cannot remember the name. Thety also give good discounts in store.

Caters in Carrickfergus have a good range of most stuff sailing.

The place at Oxford Island probably has the best range (used to be called CarrickCraft I think but has been sold afaik)

Lidl had the cheapest decent wetsuits I have ever seen and I think I saw lifejackets in one the other day .... Newtownabbey ???
