Sorry but I didn't know where to post this. Mods, please move it if I'm in the wrong place.
My question: About six months ago I got a Boots Advantage card. I thought I ought to as Boots bargains are regularly posted on MSE (thanks).
Soon after, I bought a digital camera etc.
I'm a member of Rpoints and took advantage of that at the same time.
My total purchases to-date mean I should now have £17 worth of Boots points. I tried spending some today but the Boots assistant said there were zero points on my card.
Just wondered if anyone might know why I don't have any points.
1. As I also used Rpoints did this take priority?. I don't mind but cheekily I was hoping that I'd get Rpoints & Advantage Card points as well.
2. When I received the Boots card was I supposed to register it or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.;)

Hi bingsy,
If you made your purchases on the internet you will need to go to an advantage card machine (located in store) to have the updated points total added to your card.

You still get r points and advantage points too, you can log into and view your previous orders at boots.com have a look and see if there is any points awarded with your orders, also check and see if its a temporary card rather than the plastic one as i dont think you can spent points from the temp one but you have to call and get points transfered to your permenant one it isnt automatic (i believe)The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

Thanks for the replies.
Hi Pink-winged: Yes the purchases were made online. After the Boots sales assistant said the card had no points on it she took me over to the instore card machine to check. That also confirmed that there were no points on my card.
Hi gk172: I ordered the card on Boots' website. I think it's a proper one because it has a chip on it. This is the 1st time I've tried using it.Ye'!, And!!?. How am I supposed to know?0 -
You have to register you card number on your account on the boots web site. Its worth just checking you have registered and the number is correct. If it is ask them where your points have gone.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

I've checked my registration details on Boots' website & my Advantage card number is correctly listed there. I've also checked each of my orders on their website & it mentions the number of points I've earned for each transaction.
Something I have noticed that might affect this. I've checked the despatch note/receipt/invoice that arrived along with my goods. Where my advantage card number should be, the space is blank.
As far as I can recall, I received the Advantage card a couple of months before making my 1st purchase. I can't check when I updated my registration details with the card number so can't confirm if it was before or after purchasing.
I wonder if I added my card number after purchasing. I'm sure I didn't but that would explain why the number doesn't appear on despatch note. If this is the case, is there any way I can claim the points retrospectively?.
I don't want to lose the points just for the sake of it. I have 1936 of them.Ye'!, And!!?. How am I supposed to know?0 -
Give them a call quoting the order numbers, if you are seeing points included with the order then maybe they can explain why there not on the card.

When You order on line you need to give your advantage card number so they can credit your points, this must be why they are not showing. Best to give them a ring and see If they will credit the epoints to your card0
